The second day of the 2026 International Roadcheck significantly increased enforcement activity, exposing fleet compliance problems across major freight corridors. Through two days, inspectors conducted 6,406 total inspections, documenting 11,010 violations and issuing 2,055 out-of-service orders across 5,217 carriers. Day 2 contributed approximately 4,826 inspections with an out-of-service rate of 32.3%, nearly double the 18% benchmark from the full 2025 event. Pennsylvania led all states with 1,156 cumulative inspections through Tuesday, representing roughly 20% of national Day 2 volume. Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and Kentucky together accounted for nearly one-third of all inspections. Enforcement concentrated in high-volume freight corridors, particularly along I-78, I-76, I-81, and I-40. Operators running Northeast and mid-South routes should expect comparable inspection intensity on Day 3.
