Air Atlanta Icelandic is expanding its widebody freighter operations with a second Boeing 777-300ERSF, scheduled to begin commercial service in mid-June. The aircraft is owned by lessor AerCap and leased through Hong Kong-based Fly Meta, which provides crew, maintenance and insurance services. Operations will be conducted under the Hungary Airlines brand. This marks the carrier's second 777-300ERSF deployment following its December introduction as Europe's first operator of the conversion type. The Big Twin aircraft, which received FAA and CAAI certification in August, represents growing capacity for long-haul cargo routes. AerCap signed lease agreements for four 777-300ERSFs with Fly Meta in January 2023. Fly Meta operates a mixed widebody fleet including 747-400F and A330-200F aircraft, serving trade lanes across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and North America.
