Air Cargo India transported a 79-tonne shipment of guavas and Drumstick Moringa from the newly operational Navi Mumbai International Airport to Abu Dhabi on July 15, marking the facility's first international export cargo movement. Air India Express operates the route three times weekly using Boeing 737-8 aircraft, with projected monthly cargo capacity of around 25 tonnes. The service connects western Indian agricultural producers directly with Gulf markets, addressing the time-sensitive nature of perishable exports. Air India Cargo has invested in specialized cold-chain infrastructure, including cool dollies and thermal blankets, to maintain product integrity throughout transit. The carrier emphasized that reliable air connectivity enables Indian exporters to reach global consumers while preserving quality. The development provides Maharashtra's agricultural sector with direct access to important international markets.
