Air China Cargo received its 14th Boeing 777 freighter on October 1, expanding its wide-body cargo capacity. The newbuild aircraft, registered B-229D, was completed at Boeing's Everett, Washington facility and flew to Beijing Capital International Airport.

Beyond its 777F aircraft, Air China Cargo maintains eight Airbus A330-200 passenger-to-freighter conversions and two Boeing 747-400Fs.

The airline has strengthened its long-term capacity strategy through additional orders. In May, Airbus confirmed Air China Cargo would receive four additional A350 freighters, supplementing an existing order of six aircraft.

The 777F provides 102 metric tonnes of payload capacity with a 9,200-kilometer range. Boeing has delivered 18 of the aircraft type to customers this year.
