American Industrial Transport Inc. has placed a special-edition covered hopper into service featuring patriotic imagery honoring the nation's 250-year legacy. The America 250 railcar, wrapped in an American flag and bald eagle design, was officially unveiled April 14 at AITX's Brookhaven, Mississippi repair facility. The equipment celebrates the workers, industries and communities supporting freight movement across North America. AG Processing Inc. has deployed the covered hopper for soybean processing operations, while Canadian National is facilitating its network deployment. AITX CEO Peter Appel emphasized freight rail's role in connecting cities and fueling industrial growth. The project represented collaboration among multiple partners: AITX's Brookhaven workforce, AG Processing, CN, Williams-Hayward Protective Coatings and International Name Plate Supplies. The railcar underscores AITX's 150-year history supporting goods movement across the continent.
