Amazon Expands Seller Tools With New Planning Features

Amazon is rolling out fresh capabilities for marketplace sellers, including inventory management and international expansion support through new AI supply chain agents. The e-commerce giant has separately invested in cross-country logistics infrastructure, including dedicated rail service connecting Los Angeles to East Coast destinations. The Standard Ocean Express offering promises faster transit times than conventional shipping methods for bulk inventory movement.

Meanwhile, other major supply chain operators are strengthening their operations. Ocean Spray appointed Brad Hartzell as chief supply chain officer, bringing 25 years of industry experience to lead the cranberry producer's operations. Restaurant operator P.F. Chang's extended its technology partnership to refine purchasing and inventory controls. Wegmans committed $110 million to supply chain modernization in upstate New York, building new facilities and consolidating operations to reduce third-party dependencies.
