Americold Realty Trust has launched a temperature-controlled logistics facility at Port Saint John in New Brunswick. This marks the first installation combining cold storage, maritime logistics, and rail access in a single location. The hub represents a collaboration among the Atlanta-based cold storage specialist, port operator DP World, and Canadian Pacific Kansas City. The 22,000-pallet-position facility offers direct port connectivity without requiring drayage services, reducing transit costs and handling time for perishable shipments. CPKC's rail network connects the hub to inland production centers across three nations, while DP World's maritime capabilities link Atlantic Canada to European, South American, and Asia-Pacific markets. Company executives emphasized the facility creates a differentiated supply chain solution unavailable from competitors. The integrated approach targets efficient movement of temperature-sensitive goods between interior Canadian regions and international export markets.
