Amtrak's First Airo Train Departs Delaware for Seattle Testing

Amtrak has officially accepted its first Airo trainset and begun moving the equipment across the country following departure from the Bear Maintenance Facility in Delaware this week. The train departed after completion of acceptance procedures and Amtrak preparation work at the facility. The cross-country journey brings next-generation Cascades service one step closer to the Pacific Northwest corridor. Upon arrival in Seattle, the trainset will undergo final testing procedures before welcoming customers onboard.
