APM Terminals will lose operational control of the Salalah transhipment hub in Oman when its concession expires on November 1, 2028. Salalah Port Service Company received formal notification from Oman's Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology stating the existing agreement will not be renewed beyond this date. The ministry confirmed the decision is final and unconditional. APM Terminals, the port operating subsidiary of Maersk, holds a 30% stake in the port operator and signed a 30-year build-operate-transfer concession in 1996. The port will continue normal operations under APM Terminals' management through the November 2028 expiration. State-owned Asyad holds 20% of the company, the government's Social Cohesion Fund owns 10%, and the remaining 40% is held by local and institutional investors on a free float basis.
