Only four of 110 major clothing brands publicly disclose wage information from their garment factory suppliers, according to a compliance review released this week. The assessment examined practices at industry heavyweights including Adidas, Chanel and Zara, finding widespread gaps in supply chain wage transparency. Most brands operating global manufacturing networks have not implemented disclosure standards for worker compensation across their production facilities. Industry observers say the lack of public wage data makes it difficult to verify whether apparel makers are meeting living wage commitments. The findings suggest that despite growing pressure from labor advocates and consumer groups, transparency remains limited among major fashion retailers. Brands continue to face questions about compensation practices as scrutiny of garment supply chains intensifies globally.
