Coordinated operations by Arizona police departments netted approximately $400,000 in recovered freight following a stolen-load alert in northern Arizona. Detective Curtis Peery of the Coconino County Sheriff's Office received notification of a shipment moving through the region and located a suspect trailer on Interstate 40. After the shipping company confirmed the theft, they informed Peery of a second stolen load traveling on Interstate 10 near Phoenix. Phoenix Police Detective Jeffrey Gordon coordinated with an Arizona state trooper to intercept the second vehicle while Peery positioned his team for the northern operation. The Interstate 10 stop occurred first near Phoenix. Approximately 20 minutes later, Peery's team stopped the Interstate 40 vehicle. Authorities made arrests during both operations, though suspect identities and specific charges remain undisclosed. Gordon credited effective communication between agencies for the successful dual recovery.
