Arizona Troopers Cite Hotshot Driver Operating Commercial Vehicle Without CDL

Arizona Highway Patrol cited a commercial driver Saturday on Loop 202 near Brown Road in Mesa after discovering the operator lacked a commercial driver's license. Troopers from the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit initiated the stop after observing equipment violations and noting the driver was not wearing a seat belt. The truck and trailer were transporting industrial water hoses at the time of the enforcement action. A passenger in the rear of the vehicle held a valid CDL but was not operating the truck. The driver faced multiple citations including operating without a CDL and failure to wear a seat belt.
