Arkansas Highway Police announced September 24 that officers conducted two separate enforcement operations on Interstate 40. During the first stop, K9 Mack alerted troopers to a rig containing 254 kilograms of cocaine valued at $5.1 million and two kilograms of methamphetamine worth approximately $22,000. In a second commercial vehicle inspection, K9 Drake's alert led officers to 11 pounds of marijuana valued at $33,000, one gram of methamphetamine estimated at $100, and a stolen UTV. Both interdictions followed positive K9 alerts during routine commercial motor vehicle inspections. Arkansas Highway Police did not provide additional investigative details in the initial announcement. The agency presented both incidents as examples of drug seizures during commercial vehicle enforcement along Interstate 40.
