Air Transport Services Group will sell Omni Air International to OAI Holdings and pivot its portfolio toward air cargo transportation and related services. The divestiture allows ATSG to concentrate resources on cargo markets and aviation services that include aircraft leasing, maintenance and logistics. Greg Mays, ATSG's president and chief executive, said the move advances the company's long-term strategy of building its core air cargo business. Omni Air, founded in 1993, provides passenger charter services and ACMI wet-leasing to commercial and government clients worldwide. The company also offers airline startup support, route development and aircraft management. OAI Holdings, a privately held aviation firm, plans to expand Omni's position in passenger charter and ACMI markets. The transaction requires regulatory approval and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026 or early 2027. Financial terms were not disclosed.
