Mexican cargo carrier Awesome Cargo has taken delivery of its third Airbus A330-200 passenger-to-freighter converted aircraft, registered as XA-DUR. The airline announced the delivery on May 17, with Flightradar24 data showing the aircraft travelled from Mexico City International to its Mexico City Felipe Angeles International hub on May 14. Chief Executive Luis Ramos said the expansion demonstrates the viability of building a long-haul cargo operation despite challenging market conditions. Awesome Cargo operates general cargo, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, live animals and perishables across domestic routes and services North America, South America, Europe and Asia. The carrier offers charter, ACMI and CMI services. Last year, Awesome partnered with US freight forwarder ARC Global Logistics to launch a perishables-focused route between Tijuana and Zhengzhou.
