Florida-based lessor Azorra has committed to the cargo conversion market through a deal with Embraer covering up to 30 aircraft. The agreement covers conversion of 20 E-190 aircraft into freighter configuration, with purchase rights for 10 additional conversions. The move follows the E-190F's entry into service in March with Bridges Air Cargo. Azorra becomes among the first lessors to back Embraer's E-Freighter program, which launched in March 2022. The E-190F offers 30% lower operating costs compared to regional turboprops while providing 35% greater cargo volume and more than three times the range. Maximum structural payload reaches 13 for the E-190F variant. Embraer expects strong demand for right-sized cargo solutions. Key markets include Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa—regions where Azorra operates.
