A major beverage manufacturer is rolling out yard automation software across its entire network of more than 200 facilities following successful deployment at 26 sites. The initial pilot moved nearly 5% more freight through those locations without adding staff, generating tens of millions in incremental profit. YardFlow has processed close to 2 million shipments across the pilot sites. The company is expanding from its largest facilities down to smaller operations to standardize operations network-wide. The software addresses longstanding dock inefficiencies, including manual bill of lading processing that relies on printing, collating and window handoffs. When shipment records fail to match quantities, payment disputes emerge. Coordinators must then retrieve archived paperwork months later to resolve discrepancies. Yard managers currently juggle forklift coordination, truck assignment and administrative tasks simultaneously, creating bottlenecks that automation targets.
