The appearance comes as BNSF posts strong first-quarter 2026 results. Operating income reached $2.0 billion, up 12% from the prior-year period's $1.8 billion. The railroad's operating ratio improved to 65.6%, a 2.3 percentage point decrease from 2025's 67.9%.
