BNSF reached a tentative collective bargaining agreement with the Transportation Communications Union/IAM covering 37 members at its Fort Worth facility, the railroad announced June 2. The deal includes wage increases of 8% compounded with retroactive pay effective July 1, 2025, along with enhanced vacation time and preserved health care benefits. The agreement follows industry pattern terms and requires member ratification. More than 96% of BNSF's workforce is now covered under tentative or ratified labor agreements. BNSF President and CEO Katie Farmer praised the collaboration with the TCU workforce, highlighting the railroad's commitment to safety and operational excellence. The Railway Industrial Clearance Association separately named BNSF its 2026 Railroad of the Year in recognition of the carrier's service to the dimensional cargo transportation industry.
