C. Robinson has been removed as a defendant in a St. Lucie County lawsuit stemming from a fatal traffic accident in August 2025 that killed three people. The 3PL said White Hawk Carriers incorrectly alleged it brokered the shipment involved in the crash. Robinson maintained it had no involvement in the load movement or carrier selection. Robinson's chief legal officer stated White Hawk was not an approved carrier. The company had not conducted business with White Hawk since late January 2024, and at the time of the accident, White Hawk was blocked in Robinson's system. Robinson demonstrated these facts to attorneys for the Joseph estate, leading to the voluntary dismissal on June 26, 2026. The case had potential significance as an early test of broker liability under evolving legal standards. The dismissal resolves questions about Robinson's role in the shipment's routing.
