IMC Logistics is deploying 50 Tesla Semis across its California operations. Standard Range models will handle port drayage work, while Long Range variants serve Southern California to inland routes. The intermodal carrier operates a diversified zero-emission strategy alongside existing battery-electric, hydrogen fuel-cell and renewable-diesel equipment. Tesla's Standard Range Semi delivers 325 miles of range at full load, while the Long Range model extends to 500 miles. IMC's move reflects broader adoption of electric tractors in drayage, following a 370-truck order by WattEV in May and Tesla's selection as primary manufacturer for a 2,500-truck alliance order led by Microsoft and PepsiCo. The company previously added 50 hydrogen fuel-cell Nikola trucks in March 2024.
