Global monetary authorities are preparing markets for additional interest rate hikes as price pressures remain elevated across major economies. European Central Bank Governing Council member Pierre Wunsch indicated the ECB will likely need to raise rates further, while Federal Reserve officials signaled similar moves.

Boston Fed President Susan Collins said rate increases will probably be necessary before year-end to combat inflation. New York Fed President John Williams indicated one more hike is appropriate this year. The Bank of Thailand's Deputy Governor Piti Disyatat said borrowing costs will eventually move higher as policy normalizes, though the central bank is unlikely to cut below its 1% floor without severe economic disruption. The hawkish stance from multiple central banks reflects persistent concerns about inflation management, even as economic growth shows signs of uneven momentum across regions.
