NTL Truck Line, a Northern California carrier based 74 miles east of San Francisco, ceased operations in September 2025 following mounting financial troubles. Debtors Kulwant Singh and Sukhwinder Kaur filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on April 24. Financial problems emerged as early as May 2025 when the company failed to meet payment obligations on trailers acquired in 2020 and 2023. BMO Bank issued demand letters in September before the business shuttered that same month. At its peak in May 2025, NTL operated 36 power units with 35 drivers, according to federal safety records. One day before the bankruptcy filing, a federal court in Illinois ruled that NTL and Singh owed BMO $483,068.70 for five Wabash trailers and other fees. The debtors reported over $721,000 in assets against substantial liabilities.
