Challenge Group is expanding its European-Asian freight operations with a new service to Shanghai and enhanced capacity on its Mumbai corridor. Beginning July 2, the carrier will launch a three-times-weekly freighter link between Liège and Shanghai using Boeing 777-300ERSF aircraft. Simultaneously, Challenge will upgrade its Liège-Mumbai route from three weekly 767 frequencies to twice-weekly 777-300ERSF flights, delivering additional payload capacity. The Shanghai service complements Challenge's existing ten weekly rotations between Liège and Zhengzhou, expanding the group's China footprint. The expanded network targets pharmaceutical, technology, project cargo, and high-value commodity shippers seeking reliable connectivity across Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. Challenge executives characterized the moves as strategic investments in their long-term growth, emphasizing customer demand for integrated logistics solutions amid evolving supply chain patterns.
