Challenge Group has temporarily suspended cargo flights to Navi Mumbai International Airport, citing operational constraints that prevent reliable service delivery. The freighter operator said in a statement that current conditions at the facility do not meet its standards for supply chain dependability.

The suspension comes as carriers were directed to relocate freighter operations from Mumbai's primary airport during a 10-month cargo infrastructure upgrade beginning in August. Silk Way West, Cathay Cargo, Hong Kong Air Cargo, and Lufthansa Cargo have shifted to the newer facility since August, when freighter service commenced.

Challenge Group is exploring alternative routing options to maintain India connectivity while assessing when conditions at Navi Mumbai will support full operations. The carrier reiterated commitment to the airport pending necessary operational improvements.
