Chapman Freeborn orchestrated the transport of 121 Mongolian horses across Southeast Asia in a 38-hour coordinated operation. The movement spanned three Boeing 757 freighter charter flights, moving 51 horses from Ulaanbaatar to Hanoi, returning 20 animals, then transporting an additional 50 horses outbound. The undertaking demanded meticulous planning and cross-border coordination centered on animal welfare protocols. Unlike conventional freight operations, equine movements require specialized expertise encompassing aircraft selection, loading procedures, regulatory documentation and welfare standards at each leg. Latha Narayan, Chapman Freeborn's Asia Pacific president, emphasized the operation demonstrated how regional market knowledge combined with global specialist capabilities enables complex logistics. Charlie McMullen, chief executive of the company's animal transport division Intradco Global, noted that horse movements rank among the most sensitive live animal operations, with every detail critical to both animal welfare and operational success.
