China has committed to buying U.S. oil as part of trade agreements reached during President Donald Trump's summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing this week. Trump said Chinese ships will travel to Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska to receive oil shipments. The two-day bilateral meeting has yielded multiple commercial commitments, including expanded market access for American businesses and purchases of U.S. goods. The summit concludes Friday with tea and a working lunch between the leaders. Trump's visit represents the first time a sitting U.S. president has traveled to China in nearly nine years. Beijing also warned that mishandling the Taiwan issue could destabilize broader bilateral relations.
