China Cargo Airlines has taken delivery of its 20th Boeing 777 freighter, expanding its all-widebody cargo operation. The aircraft, registered B-228S, was completed at Boeing's Everett facility and ferried to Shanghai Pudong Airport this month. The Shanghai-based carrier is a China Eastern Airlines subsidiary that has maintained steady investment in the 777F since acquiring its first example in 2010. The latest delivery follows a February arrival and underscores growing demand for the type's 102-tonne payload and 4,970-nautical-mile range. China Cargo Airlines is leveraging its expanding fleet to drive network growth, having launched a Chongqing-Budapest route in January and resumed China-France service in November. Boeing delivered 12 777Fs year-to-date and recorded 15 new orders last year, though the manufacturer continues seeking regulatory approval to extend 777F production beyond 2027.
