China's finance ministry is evaluating targeted fiscal policies to achieve its growth objectives as the second-largest economy faces a deceleration. Manufacturing activity showed some bright spots, with a major industrial convention in Anhui concluding with 790 project agreements valued at 363.4 billion yuan (approximately $54.2 billion). Domestically, intermodal freight volumes hit annual records, with container volumes surpassing 21,000 units as shippers sought cost efficiencies. Global air cargo demand also rebounded, posting a 4.4 percent increase in August compared to August 2025, signaling renewed momentum in international trade flows despite broader economic concerns.
