Beijing — China's outbound shipments are expected to accelerate in September, expanding 25.5% compared to the same month last year, according to trade forecasts ahead of Wednesday's official data release. The growth marks a modest pickup from August and reflects sustained global demand for Chinese-manufactured components serving data center infrastructure. Import growth is projected to decelerate to 24% in September. Strong export performance has been underpinned by surging international orders for AI-related goods and easing trade tensions with major partners. Recent agreements include rollback plans on $30 billion in tariffs and an extended trade truce through January. The European Union secured commitments from Beijing to reduce hybrid vehicle shipments to the bloc by half following high-level negotiations. Domestic consumption pressures persist despite strong foreign demand.
