CMA CGM has finalized its $1.4 billion acquisition of FedEx Supply Chain, integrating the business into Ceva Logistics. The deal significantly expands Ceva's North American operations, nearly tripling its warehouse footprint to 150 facilities across the region. The combined operations offer approximately 34 million square feet of space and employ around 20,000 staff. Chairman and CEO Rodolphe Saadé characterized the completion as pivotal to the shipping line's North American growth strategy, enabling end-to-end supply chain solutions spanning ocean, air, land and logistics services. The transaction underscores CMA CGM's strategic pivot toward less-cyclical logistics revenue streams while maintaining organic growth in container shipping. FedEx has committed to multi-year commercial agreements with CMA CGM's ocean freight operations as part of the deal terms.
