CMA CGM has finalized its acquisition of FedEx Supply Chain. The transaction establishes multi-year commercial partnerships spanning air and ocean freight operations, including an air cargo capacity agreement targeting key Asia-Europe routes designed to enhance aircraft utilization and flexibility on long-haul services. CMA CGM will serve as a preferred ocean carrier for FedEx under a non-exclusive arrangement. The acquisition integrates approximately 10,000 FedEx Supply Chain employees into CEVA Logistics, CMA CGM's contract logistics subsidiary. The combined North American operation now encompasses roughly 150 warehouses and 240 total locations with approximately 20,000 staff members. The integration adds approximately 34 million square feet of warehouse capacity and triples CEVA's North American logistics footprint. The deal advances CMA CGM's strategy to deliver integrated logistics solutions across ocean shipping, terminals, inland transport, warehousing and value-added services while expanding automation and robotics deployment.
