CN Posts 2025 Sustainability Results, Marks Multiple Industry Recognitions

Canadian National Railway released its 2025 Sustainability Data Supplement on June 25, detailing performance across environmental, safety, workplace, community and governance categories. The Class I carrier highlighted progress toward its 2030 emissions reduction targets alongside safety improvements and diversity representation goals.

CN President and CEO Tracy Robinson emphasized that sustainability initiatives strengthen operations while supporting customers and communities served by the railroad. The carrier's recent accolades underscore its commitment to responsible business practices.

As of mid-June, CN earned selection to the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index for the 14th consecutive year and the North America Index for the 17th straight year. The railroad also achieved MSCI ESG's 'AA' rating, received a 'B' score from the CDP Climate Change Questionnaire, secured a Silver medal from EcoVadis and ranked among Canada's Top 50 Corporate Citizens for the 18th consecutive year.
