CSX has secured Nissan's 2026 Supply Chain Management Partner of the Year designation, recognizing exceptional operational performance and reliability across North America. Nissan presented the award May 7 at its annual Supply Chain Logistics Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Melissa Carr, Director of Automotive Sales, and Tom Fitzgerald, Senior Director of Automotive Sales, accepted on behalf of CSX.

The Class I railroad demonstrated consistent execution at Nissan's Smyrna campus, the automaker's largest U.S. manufacturing facility and one of the world's largest automotive plants. CSX exceeded baseline service requirements and maintained elevated railcar spotting and fulfillment levels during peak demand periods.

The railroad also achieved strong damage prevention metrics critical to automotive logistics. CSX collaborated with Nissan North America to align strategic priorities with service delivery, generating measurable cost savings through innovative commercial approaches.

Tom Fitzgerald said the recognition reflects team dedication to the partnership. The award places CSX among an elite group of logistics providers demonstrating value beyond contractual obligations.
