Shipper tracking mandates and factoring company integration requirements are forcing small and mid-sized trucking operators to adopt formal software solutions. Datatruck, which recently earned recognition on the FreightWaves Freight Tech 100, is addressing what it calls an overlooked market segment by offering transportation management system capabilities previously available only through enterprise platforms costing millions annually or free stripped-down tools. The carrier-focused platform aims to enable five- to ten-truck fleets to scale operations efficiently without prohibitive overhead costs. Jordan Kidd, head of product at Datatruck, noted that traditional spreadsheet and email-based operations no longer meet industry demands. Real-time tracking requirements and formal software integrations are now effectively mandatory across the sector. Datatruck is competing for the Freight Tech Top 25 award.
