Cargo carrier Ameriflight has appointed David Harvey to lead the company as president and chief executive. Harvey brings more than 25 years of aviation industry experience across airlines, charter operations, and cargo services. He previously served as chief commercial officer at Wheels Up, overseeing global marketing, sales, pricing, and revenue management functions. Harvey spent over two decades at Southwest Airlines, where he held the position of chief sales officer and managed sales operations across corporate, small and medium-sized business, government, and university segments. His Southwest tenure also included leadership roles in corporate strategy, network planning, and technology. He participated in the AirTran Airways integration. Most recently, Harvey provided executive advisory services to airlines and travel technology firms on commercial strategy and sales effectiveness. Ameriflight Chairman Jim Martell said Harvey's aviation expertise and leadership experience position him to expand the company's customer base and pursue new growth opportunities within the aviation and logistics sector.
