DHL Group reported a 30% increase in operating profit, driven by heavy air shipments and capacity constraints in its Express division. Higher fuel costs were passed through to customers via surcharges. The company posted net profit growth of 24% with revenue reaching $22.8 billion, up 13% year-over-year. Operating profit margins expanded one percentage point to 8%.

DHL Express operating income surged 64%, benefiting from heavier average shipments and improved yield management. Weight per shipment for time-definite international services increased six percentage points as the division targets industrial customers. Temporary air cargo capacity constraints, particularly in Middle East corridors, generated approximately $172.6 million in incremental earnings as volume shifted to DHL's own aircraft.

The carrier continues capturing market share from traditional forwarders, now handling more than half of all international air cargo tonnage alongside FedEx and UPS. DHL raised its full-year EBIT guidance following strong quarterly performance. Cash flow increased 73% to $655 million, partly due to U.S. tariff refunds the Supreme Court ruled were illegally applied. DHL said it is passing these refunds to customers as quickly as possible.
