DHL Group plans to deploy more than $447 million across Central and Eastern Europe by 2030 to capitalize on the region's emerging logistics opportunities. The investment targets Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania, where high-growth companies increasingly require international transportation and supply chain services. The initiative supports DHL's broader goal of raising revenue 50% between 2023 and 2030 across strategic markets. Capital will fund warehouse capacity, ground freight operations, supply chain control infrastructure and international express services. A new DHL Express air freight terminal in Katowice represents a centerpiece of the expansion. DHL Express CEO John Pearson cited the region's growing importance for global trade networks and noted nearshoring trends driving European manufacturers closer to consumer markets. Poland's merchandise trade has expanded more than twice as fast as global trade over the past decade, underscoring the nation's emergence as a regional logistics hub.
