DoorDash is broadening its logistics footprint by launching a retail returns service and deploying self-designed drones for expedited deliveries. The returns program, operational in select markets, will expand nationwide in November using its existing driver network. For $0.99, Dasher Returns requires no box or label. Drivers will collect returns within 30 minutes and transport items back to retail locations for processing and refunds within days. The move positions DoorDash in the higher-margin reverse logistics sector, competing directly with established carriers like FedEx and UPS. Simultaneously, the company expanded its retail marketplace partnerships, adding Macy's, Anthropologie, The North Face, Vans and Timberland to its platform. Recent additions include Costco and Skims. The "Mall-in-Your-Pocket" initiative consolidates apparel, beauty and home goods shopping across hundreds of nationwide retailers on a single delivery platform, strengthening DoorDash's competitive position in e-commerce fulfillment.
