DoorDash is deepening its push into retail delivery by enabling independent Shopify merchants with physical storefronts to list products on its marketplace without additional onboarding or manual processes. The integration automatically synchronizes inventory across platforms, eliminating stock management headaches for retailers. The move targets small-and-medium sized local businesses as a key growth segment. DoorDash has systematically expanded into retail over the past four years, securing partnerships with major retailers including CVS, Party City, Urban Outfitters and Dollar Tree across 9,000+ locations. The company operates DashMart neighborhood fulfillment hubs handling picking, packing and last-mile delivery. Last month, DoorDash announced delivery services for Autoparts.com with sub-one-hour fulfillment windows. The Shopify integration puts local retailers before millions of DoorDash shoppers while streamlining same-day order fulfillment.
