The Department of Transportation has rolled out a new visibility dashboard designed to strengthen connections between cargo hubs and industry participants, advancing the American Supply Chain Sovereignty Initiative.

The platform aims to enhance transparency across freight networks as the administration implements broader customs reforms. Shippers are being advised to reassess importer of record arrangements and deepen supply chain visibility in response to regulatory changes.

The DOT also introduced a container pre-screening program intended to expedite cargo processing and reduce bottlenecks at ports and distribution centers. The initiative reflects a broader push to streamline connections throughout the supply chain while maintaining domestic control over critical logistics infrastructure.

Amazon has expanded its less-than-truckload network to third-party businesses, offering partial-load shipping services alongside its broader supply chain offerings.
