DP World has secured International Air Transport Association certification for its airfreight forwarding operations across 11 locations spanning the U.S. and Mexico. The credential covers facilities in Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Newark, and El Paso, as well as Mexico City and Monterrey. IATA certification validates that forwarders meet globally recognized standards for operational performance, financial accountability, and professional competence. The logistics provider plans to leverage the designation to strengthen relationships with airline partners and enhance service reliability for time-sensitive cargo. Joseph Fordney, senior vice president of freight forwarding for DP World in the Americas, stated the certification reinforces the company's ability to deliver integrated supply chain solutions. Combined with ocean freight, customs brokerage, warehousing, and trucking capabilities, the certified airfreight network enables customers to consolidate shipments through a single provider. DP World previously obtained IATA certification in Panama in June and Brazil in 2025.
