DP World has obtained IATA certification for its freight forwarding operations in Panama, bolstering its air cargo presence across South America. The certification validates that the company's Panama-based unit meets international standards for safe and secure air cargo handling. The operation connects regional customers to major carriers and global trade routes throughout the Americas. DP World's Panama facility underwent comprehensive evaluation covering operational procedures and infrastructure. Safety controls and compliance with IATA's Dangerous Goods Regulations were also confirmed. The company recently opened a customs-bonded warehouse to strengthen cargo consolidation and distribution in the region. DP World previously achieved IATA certification for Brazil operations last year and operates an air cargo logistics hub at Punta Cana International Airport in the Dominican Republic, which launched in 2024. The certification supports DP World's strategy to deliver integrated supply chain solutions combining air, ocean, and inland transport services.
