Echo Global Logistics is strengthening its foothold in Mexico by formally integrating domestic transportation capabilities into its existing service portfolio. The Chicago-based third-party logistics provider now offers shippers a comprehensive solution encompassing intra-Mexico freight movements, cross-border operations, customs brokerage and warehousing through a single provider. The expanded offering includes city-to-city transportation, port drayage, domestic intermodal services and managed transportation solutions across Mexico. Troy Ryley, president of Echo Mexico, said the move positions the company as a complete supply chain integrator for the region. Previously, shippers required multiple vendors to coordinate cross-border shipments, border warehousing and Mexican domestic distribution. Echo has managed cross-border services for over a decade and substantially expanded its Mexico operations in 2024. The company established locations in Mexico City, Monterrey and Laredo, Texas during this expansion. The move capitalizes on nearshoring trends and accelerating U.S.-Mexico trade flows.
