Swedish autonomous trucking operator Einride will develop its next-generation driving system using Nvidia's Hyperion compute and sensor platform. The partnership was announced Monday. Einride currently operates hundreds of electric trucks across the U.S., Europe and the Middle East, with plans to expand its fleet to 1,500-2,000 vehicles by 2028 based on existing customer demand. The company estimates roughly 80 percent of that projected growth involves routes suitable for autonomous operation. Einride will integrate Hyperion's compute, sensor, software and safety architecture to heavy-duty freight applications while Nvidia provides the underlying platform and development tools. Einride handles vehicle design, operations, safety validation and regulatory approval independently. The partnership leverages Einride's existing customer relationships and operational experience with autonomous deployments already in service.
