Swedish autonomous trucking company Einride will incorporate Nvidia's Alpamayo reasoning model into its Driver autonomous system, the company announced Wednesday. Einride plans to customize Alpamayo using its operational data, with live road testing scheduled for the second half of 2027. The move aims to accelerate development cycles and reduce costs for deploying the system across new vehicle types and routes.
The integration builds on Einride's September collaboration with Nvidia to develop next-generation autonomous capabilities on the Hyperion platform. As of June 30, Einride logged more than 5,400 autonomous operating hours across six customer deployments in the U.S. and Europe. The company is also working with DAF and TNO to integrate its autonomous system into DAF's electric truck platform, with software integration targeted for 2027.
