Emirates SkyCargo significantly expanded its South American operations this year, adding seven weekly freighter flights across the region to capitalize on surging export demand. The Dubai-based carrier introduced three additional weekly services from Buenos Aires, two from Sao Paulo, one from Bogota and one from Quito. The fleet expansion drove substantial volume growth in the first half of the 2025/26 financial year, with Argentina surging 57% year-over-year, Brazil rising 22%, Colombia up 18% and Ecuador climbing 14%. Through April, Emirates SkyCargo transported more than 22,000 tonnes of exports from South America, representing 18% growth versus the prior-year period. Ecuador generates the highest concentration of traffic, with flowers comprising over 90% of uplift. The carrier moved nearly 24,000 tonnes of flowers during the 2025/26 financial year, with direct Quito-Amsterdam service connecting to major international markets.
