Evos closed a $9 million pre-seed funding round Wednesday to develop autonomous software operators for small and midsized industrial businesses, including freight brokerages. The round was co-led by Uncork Capital and Field Ventures, with backing from Crosslink Capital, Utopia Capital Management, Sandwith Ventures and angel investors. The platform reached $1 million in annual recurring revenue within four weeks of launch. Evos operators learn from employee decision-making patterns within existing systems, automating routine functions without requiring staff replacement or new software integration. MyFreightWorld deployed an Evos operator for LTL invoice auditing, achieving 97% accuracy across nearly 3,500 decisions over two months while identifying over $600,000 in billing discrepancies in the most recent five-week period. The company targets the 99% of U.S. motor carriers operating fewer than 100 trucks and 93% of manufacturers with under 100 employees. Evos positions its self-serve operators as an alternative to consultant-led implementations that typically take 9 to 18 months.
