Families of two Fox News journalists killed while covering Russia's invasion of Ukraine are suing the network, alleging it prioritized obtaining combat footage over journalist safety. Russian forces struck a vehicle carrying the reporting team outside Kyiv in the early weeks of the invasion. Videographer Pierre Zakrzewski and fixer Oleksandra Kuvshynova were killed in the attack. Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall, who survived the strike, lost his right leg below the knee, most of his left foot and part of an eye. Two years after the incident, Hall appeared at a Fox News industry event, speaking about covering dangerous assignments. The lawsuits name the network and a senior correspondent in connection with the deaths.
