FedEx and China Southern Air Logistics have established a formal working relationship to enhance air cargo operations across their networks. The memorandum of understanding, signed in Guangzhou where both carriers maintain major operations, outlines collaboration in capacity sharing, route planning, hub connectivity, fleet resources, ground operations and digitalization. FedEx China President Poh-Yian Koh said the partnership will leverage the integrator's global air network with China Southern's domestic and international expertise to strengthen route connectivity and operational efficiency. The world's largest cargo airline by traffic and fleet size is joining with a carrier that ranks in the top 10 globally by cargo traffic. Together they will better serve cross-border logistics demands. FedEx operates a substantial Guangzhou hub and is expanding its Asia-Pacific terminal there, expected to double its original size and triple sorting capacity. The collaboration supports supply chain resilience amid shifting trade patterns.
